YUMA
By John Grundon
Let us discuss Yuma, the city:
The advantages here just abound.
The water tanks, they're painted pretty;
West Wetlands Park Creative Playground.

Historic Yuma Theater is great -
Musicals, concerts, contests, and plays.
Main Street activities really rate -
Farmer's market, fairs, and Lettuce Days.

A great hospital, Y.R.M.C.,
The Jaycee Silver Spur Rodeo,
Territorial Prison to see,
Schools and colleges where kids can grow.

Two Indian casinos for fun -
Cocopah, Paradise, stage great stars.
Newspaper for all, the daily SUN.
Midnight at the Oasis, old cars.

The shopping centers at the 'Big Curve;'
Ocean-to-Ocean bridge and highway;
Y.P.G., the Golden Knights - they serve;
Marine Corps Air Station, Air Show, yea!

Lots of golf courses suit you to a tee;
Lots of hotels; folks gather to meet;
Lots of restaurants: steaks, fish, chili,
Mexican, Chinese, all-you-can-eat.

RV and mobile home parks galore;
Great winter weather year after year;
All of those activities and more;
That explains why the snowbirds come here.

Center of the World and Mexico;
Civic Center and Renaissance Faire;
Twenty-one parks are places to go;
All these things: that is why I live there!
