Evermore
By Ruth Kisselburg
A whisper of wind to touch my cheek;
A lip-soft kiss from one I'll meet-
When I arise from Earth's binding chains
To float as a cloud with the gentle rains.

To soar with the birds in circling flight-
To dance with the stars on a moon-light night,
And be embraced forever more
By all the loves I've known before.

The Farm
By Ruth Kisselburg

A rooster crows, birds start to sing
Good Morning! Good Morning says everything!
Mr. Sun comes out … especially to say,
"Good morning, Good Morning, it's a beautiful day. "
Don't waste your time by staying in bed,
Today is the day to 'take another step ahead,
To say "hello" to your neighbor with a great big smile,
And show him that life is really worthwhile.

A dog starts to bark, a cow goes "moo"
Good Morning! Good Morning! Good Morning to you.
The grass needs cutting, there's a tree to trim,
So roll up your sleeves, and pitch right in.
No time to tarry, no time to dally-
This morning seems to be 'right up your alley.'
Of all the things that to me hold charm,
Few can match an awakening farm.

Ode To A Curb
By Ruth Kisselburg

Isn't the curb in front of your home
A wonderful place?
It lets you park your car there,
If in your driveway there's no space.

The mailbox is there to hold all the things
Like letters and bills the carrier brings.

On certain days, you set out the garbage bin,
And of course, you do try to get all your garbage in.

Also, on the curb sits the recycling basket-
It tells all your neighbors what you drink, so they don't have to ask it.

Boys and girls sometimes sit on the curb
Waiting for friends to go by.
Also, it keeps the water on the street
On the occasions it gushes by.

BUT, I think the most important item,
According to what I've seen;
It lets you know (without a doubt)
Where your neighbors' dogs have been.
