Lisa: Although she has been dancing all her life, Lisa has only been formally taking dance lessons for a little over 5 years. She fell in love with ethnic dancing when, as a child, she would watch bellydancers on television and at events while on vacation with family in Las Vegas. Lisa is certified in American Tribal Style/FCBD General Skills by Carolena Nericco, and plans to further her ATS training this year by beginning a teacher training program. She has also trained with reknowned Indian Dance expert Coleena Shakti of the US and India and plans to continue training in the Khalbeliya style of dance of the Northern Indian 'gypsies.'

Angie: Also insterested in dance since as early as she can remember, Angie has studied and been involved with dance such as ballet, jazz, and hip-hop since 1989. She started bellydancing in early 2005. Immediately after taking her first class, she knew that she could never go back to a life without bellydancing. Bellydancing has given her a much needed outlet for her lifelong love of dancing, costuming, and performing. Angie is continously inspired by the many different types of bellydance, but feels her roots are deeply seeded in teh dramatic arts dance. Angie gives her revered recognition to her first bellydance instructors here in Yuma because without their encouragement she may not have continued to dance.
